Welcome to the Upstate Piedmont Chamber Website!

The Upstate Piedmont Chamber of Commerce was formed to be a pro-active, pro-business, and pro-economic development organization serving Cherokee County and the surrounding communities in Spartanburg and Union Counties that may better be served by this Chamber.

The organization will be self supporting and funded through membership investment and grants in order to carry out its mission. We will not seek -sponsorships” to support our efforts.

Overhead expenses are extremely low, as this is essentially a volunteer organization incorporated as a 501c6 non-profit.

As a pro-active group, managed by a President/CEO and a diverse Board of Directors with varied life experiences and business skills, the organization will be able to take a position on issues affecting business, economic development and quality of life in its service area and the Upstate.

We will promote positive growth and development in the communities to better position our service area to compete in a rapidly changing and global economy.

Preparing a ready and competitive labor force is a major concern in our service area and we have addressed this in our Mission Statement and also by partnering with the Upstate Workforce Investment Board.

Our activities will consist of monthly seminars for our membership concerning issues that will be informative in the area of business efficiencies, available grants, legislation, and economic development. However, any specific needs, problems and opportunities for our membership will be addressed.
